Tis the season to be jolly, and buy buy buy! Living here close to one of the wealthiest neighbourhoods in Toronto, it’s hard not getting wrapped up in the consumerism side of it all, forgetting my original mission: To give entirely handmade. With my partner being a full-time student, and me being with our daughter, spending a small fortune on things no one really needs is not an option. I’ve been racking my brain trying to come up with something that we can make together, to give to our friends and family that will be really special, but won’t break the bank in the process. So, I’ve been sewing. Trying things out here and there; dolls, snack bags, magnets. Though, I’ve started early, I’m still feeling the ever-increasing pressure of the holidays, and wondering if I will ever have time to get it all done. I still have a few more weeks before panic sets in. Wish me luck!
